This is education, not advice

The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you which contributor produced the lines on your own face, whether treatment is appropriate for your skin, your health or your circumstances, or whether a treatment is suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Nothing here stops the underlying ageing

Every option on the ladder works for a period and then fades. Lines are softened and that softening is maintained; they are not removed, and the process that produced them continues. Anyone describing a permanent result, or a stated number of years removed, is describing something that cannot be promised.

Some lines are not an ageing change

A line or fold that appeared suddenly, particularly with weakness, difficulty speaking or swallowing, a drooping face or a severe new headache, needs emergency assessment. A one-sided change, altered sensation, or a patch that is red, scaly or changing is assessed by a doctor before anything cosmetic is considered.

Individual results differ

Lines have several contributors and their proportions differ between people and between parts of the same face, so the same treatment produces different amounts of change in different faces. No number of sessions and no degree of softening can be guaranteed, and no plan can be made properly without an examination.
